My family really does not have any kind of tradition for the holidays. We just go to my cousin's house or they come to mine every other year. We eat food and open presents and stuff like that. Christmas is cool and stuff but this year I have a track meet the day after and it really sucks. The end.

I know Nelson Mandela was the South African president for a while. He went to jail for speaking out against the government back in the day... crazy stuff.... But then he like ended apartheid or something and won the nobel peace price so I guess you can say he died pretty happy.

I got accepted to Siena and Iona so far. Odds are I will not be attending either because my top choice schools are Marist, Binghamton, and Loyola Maryland. The end.

I do not really know too much about JFK's assassination. But, I do know it had a big impact on the country like 9/11 did. I am sure that when the tragedy occured it was very strange because for a point in time the United States did not have a president.

I did not do the business olympics. I did not compete because, in all honesty, I do not have the time or the interest to put together an entire presentation about the Smithtown Children's Foundation. I did the business olympics once and I did not enjoy so I never planned on doing it again.

Selfies are stupid. They are taken by typical white girls who are bored and have nothing better to do with their time than take a variety of dumb pictures of themselves. Selfies are funny when really ugly people take them and put them on facebook, twitter, or instagram as a joke. The End.

I do not have any fond memories of the business olympics. The one time I did it Taylor, Kate, and I literally spent an entire Sunday sitting in Taylor's kitchen making stuff up about a stupid phone application a few days before the actual event. I only did the business olympics so I could get into the business honor society. The End.

My fondest memory of high school is definitely DECA states, while I have gone multiple times and made a variety of memories, they are all my favorites. My fondest memories from middle and elementary school are both when I left the respective schools. I did not really like middle or elementary school, they were awful. My worst memory from middle and elementary school is when I found out that my grades in both did not count at all. Finding that out made me mad.

I can write pretty well, when I am actually trying to that is. I think it can really help me in the future because a lot of people are not good at writing and conveying a message to people. I know grammar very well which is important because a lot of people do not, this gives me an advantage. I am also good at making it seem like I am speaking when I write, which helps me get messages across clearly and easily. Writing well also helps on tests, when I do poorly on a multiple choice section I usually am able to do very well on the writing. Writing well is very helpful.

I did not really celebrate Veterans Day, I kind of just sat around all day and watched TV. Then I ate dinner. That was my day. I think veterans should get a ton of benefits because they do more work than people who actually receive full benefits. They should definitely get full medical, and they should probably get some sort of salary if possible. AMERICA.

My favorite thing about fall is football. I watch the Giants play every sunday with my dad if he is not at the game himself. I do not really like anything else about fall because I can't stand raking leaves. They look nice on the trees but once they fall I hate them. Fall is too much work to be enjoyable.

Pat Vecchio is really old... I do not think he should have won again because he is probably going to implement some senior citizen bingo nights that everyone has to attend. He also had us trapped in our houses for five days during the snow storm because he did not tell the plows to plow our streets early enough. Actually, that kept us out of school for a few days so that's kind of cool... Pat Vecchio can stay if he keeps us from going to school when it snows. In all honesty though, I do not really notice anything he does because I do not pay attention to much, until he does something that blatantly effects my life I really do not care if he is in the position or not. I do think he is too old though, implementing someone who is younger would not be a bad idea.

One thing that I will miss about Smithtown West is sports. Especially track. The reason I will miss it so much is because it is the only competitive sport I enjoy participating in. Also, I really like my teammates. During the season we are like a family because we are all so determined to win the county championship.

My first memory of Halloween is when I was two and I was the pilsbury dough boy. I looked like a two year old beast, I trick or treated a little bit. Then I went to bed because I was two and I had a bedtime. The end.

In five years I just want to be done with college without a lot of debt. I do plan on coming back to Long Island, but if I do not have a job out of college it will be difficult to live here because it is so expensive. Basically, I just want to have a job out of college.

Hurricane Sandy was awful. The only thing I remember about it was losing power at four o'clock the day of the storm and not getting it back for eleven days after that. It was the longest eleven days of my life because all I did was sit at home in the dark while my parents were at work. There were trees down on my street for a while so I could not really go anywhere. When one of them was moved my mom and I were able to leave the house and just drive around looking at damage. But, when there was a gas shortage, we were not able to do that anymore. Hurricane Sandy was not fun.

McDonald's dropped their relationship with Heinz ketchup because Heinz had a change in management, the Burger King CEO became the CEO of Heinz. McDonald's decided to end the relationship and get kethup from different producers. I do not think that this will change anything with McDonalds, ketchup is ketchup. If anyone claims to notice a difference in the taste of ketchup they are probably just Heinz fanboys.

I have never participated in Safe Halloween, nor am I working it later tonight. I might end up showing up to help out because I will not have anything to do tonight, and everyone will be there anyway. Yay DECA. Woohoo. What the hecka. Tuesday means DECA. The claw is useless.

Starbucks will not do well with the whole "Teavana" thing. Starbucks is not the kind of company that can sell something by just putting their brand on it like Apple. Tea does not taste good, and people do not like it as much as they like coffee. Starbucks will waste their money opening an expansive amount of tea houses because people will not buy as much tea as they do coffee.

I honestly do not care about Inbloom. What is the big deal if my information gets uploaded to a database that nobody can see. Isn't that the same exact thing as parent portal? People are claiming that this information might be shared with private companies, so what? You are going to have to share all of your educational information when you apply to college anyway, so what is the big deal if it is put in a database now? Inbloom is not a big deal. This whole database will actually make accessing educational information in the future much easier for everyone, as it will always be in a database as opposed to sitting in a file cabinet that someone has already forgotten about. It can also help catch mistakes in test scores. For example, say a kid does very well on a state test but it gets uploaded to Inbloom as a failing grade, the kid will be able to catch the mistake and notify someone who can help him.

Spirit week was fun, but I did not participate every day. The football jersey day I did not participate because I don't have a jersey, and the Wacky Wednesday was dumb so seniors did western Wednesday. I would continue the tradition of spirit week and homecoming because it is the only fun week of school. Other than the week before winter break, spirit week is the only good one.

Now that the government is back in session, my biggest concern for January is that we will end up right back where we were a few weeks ago. The government will end up shutting down again and the Republicans and Democrats will be arguing again about whether or not to raise the debt ceiling, which will cause them to create another temporary solution. I feel like over the next few months, maybe even years, the government will just constantly push back their deadlines, causing no permanent solutions to be made.
